WPN participated in the “Renewable Energy Week 2013″ held from January 20-26th, which was organized by AEPC to promote renewable energy in Nepal. As a part of the program, WPN had a display stall in Bhrikutimandap, where it promoted awareness on wind energy for visitors.
WPN was engaged with Clean Energy Development Bank where we proposed to develop a product for ‘financing off-grid wind projects in Nepal’ named “Vayu Urja Loan” in November 2012. The proposal made it to the final round in the Frankfurt Business School – UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance.
WPN participated in the Renewable World Learning Conference where the COO Saroj Dhakal presented about “the Challenges and Opportunities in Wind Energy in Nepal.” The conference covered issues related to wind, solar, biogas, hydram, and mini-grid solutions.
